“Najia, you made a very awesome human”
If you ever see a spell from someone on here and they say to “blow out the candle” avoid them
You are NOT supposed to blow a candle out because it’s like blowing what you’re asking for away.
Snuff it out or let it continue to burn.
You know what? This is what is known as a superstition. It has no power unless you believe it to be true. There very well may be an occasion to blow out a candle. It’s none of anyone’s business if you do.
Our words are carried on the wind, our intentions in the smoke of incense. Our breath is life. Snuffing is fine. Blowing out a flame carries special significance. We do it when we make a wish on our birthday. It does not nullify anything unless you let it. Listen to yourself. If you are confident to follow your heart and intuition, some blow hard on the Internet should not deter you.
Yeah, agreed, this is just a personal thing, cause I can assure you it doesn’t work that way in MANY traditions, or to many of we solitaries. I wish people would learn the difference between their personal preference and Laws of Nature™. They are not the same thing and I’m really sick of it.
honestly, as a witchling, it’s hard to differentiate… what are the actual
Laws of Nature™? every single source has its own opinions on that, and it’s pretty annoying.
Do you have ‘I made tea an hour ago and forgot about it and now it’s cold’ adhd or ‘I got a soda out of the fridge an hour ago and forgot about it and now it’s warm’ adhd?
(843): I fully support your bad decision but I do not approve of your unironic use of the word yolo

in all honesty: first of all, learn pronunciation (and the polish-specific letters). polish is a good language in the aspect that the pronunciation is consistent. no word should surprise you. maybe you won’t be able to get it 100% right, but you’ll know what it should sound like.
listen to polish music. the older ones, especially, they sing more clearly in them. you’ll get the rhythm of the language. there’s a polish playlist i made, i’ll link it here later when i’m on desktop. edit: here it is!!
read, if you can. contemporary, if you can. lots of people translate english fanfiction to polish – you can read both and compare.
if you want help or just chat a bit, feel free to hmu! and good luck. polish is a tough one, but a beauty.
“Sir, I can has fish?? Thank you, kind Sir!”
Translation:
[weasel? comes up to a fisherman]
Fisherman: Friend, what do you want? [weasel sniffs at a closed bucket with fish] Hungry for some fish, aren’t you? Maybe I should give you a fishing pole? Eager beaver. Let me open it. [weasel is busy digging under the bucket. fisherman gently pokes it] Hey, there is a lid up here. Come on, pick any you want. [weasel grabs a fish and runs away] Hey, no “thank you”? Well, you’re welcome.
