Hogwarts Aesthetics – Hufflepuff House

“You might belong in Hufflepuff, where they are just and loyal;
Those patient Hufflepuffs are true, and unafraid of toil.”

The house of Helga Hufflepuff was undeniably the most unpopular house in all of Hogwarts; it was referred to as being the ‘Wimpy house’. The fact that most of the students that were sorted in Hufflepuff, had a great tolerance for people in general, as well as the desire to care for creatures, humans, and plants alike, caused a lot of misconceptions about Hufflepuffs, and the house in which they were sorted.

Another thing that gave Hufflepuffs an undesirable reputation, was the fact that they were so often not paying attention in class (unless it was Care of Magical Creatures or Herbology); it wasn’t that they didn’t want to learn, it was the fact that they were so often day-dreaming, or thinking of ways to help others. Though they had noble intentions, this caused for a lot of people to scorn and look down upon them.

Although Hufflepuffs were indeed patient and kind (to a fault), they were also incredibly feisty and opinionated; something that came out especially when someone would bully a fellow Hufflepuff.

Listen I’m bi as Heck and as much as I love girls, I also love boys? Boys are amazing and pure and liking boys is a wonderful feeling? I never see a lot of posts talking about cute boys so

Some Boy Aesthetics™ I’m in love with include:

Their tired grins? Have you seen a cute boy grin when he’s tired? Life Changing

Sleeves rolled up to forearms is all good and Well but also when they have Sweater Paws in their hoodies or jumpers? Makes the tallest of them seem so smol? I’m lov?

When they run their hand through their hair and it sticks up in places and it looks So Good

Collar Bones

Soft pudgy stomachs they absolutely make me melt

When ya boy gets flustered A++ Bonus points if he giggles Boys giggling is Everything

I think this is like the first positive post about boys that isnt to do with a celebrity for ages and it is actually super nice to read????

things that i like about boys in no particular order:

-dark eyelashes. VERY nice.

-sleeves rolled up to the forearm, seconded, a good and classic look.

-when guys actually take the time to do their hair up instead of just going for the ‘i grew my hair out so i guess im legolas now???’ helpless lank mess. braid it, pin it up, maybe stick some hairclips in, it looks amazing, A+

-fitted button ups. great look for any gender. +10 CHAR if you do a nice fold on the sleeves. mm-mmm.

-tight shorts. thank you. bless you. i see your gift of ass to the world and i appreciate it.

-glitter. any man who goes out in glitter is clearly not afraid to get his ass kicked by homophobes, and that confidence is at least as attractive as glitter itself, which is always attractive.

-just a spritz of cologne. DAMN i like those good man smells.

-NEATLY TRIMMED BEARDS. thank you for growing a beard and thank you for grooming it. nothing too fussy required, just half an inch or whatever. my personal favorite look: friendly lumberjack quit the pacific northwest to become a chicago barista. especially nice with man bun and forearm sleeve accessories. second favorite look: dwarven executive. least favorite look: i grew a beard but didn’t know i needed to comb it sometimes.

-undercuts. if it looks good on lesbians, it looks nearly as good on dudes. guaranteed.

-giggles. seconded. don’t be afraid to be sweet. it’s a great look on anyone. also back pats and cool handshakes.

-fancy shoes. i see you guys who buy the cool boots and sneakers and i’m happy for you.

-leather (and canvas) satchel. what do you have in that satchel? important documents probably! perhaps you are a spy or a steampunk courier? either way, much more attractive a look than trench coats. please get a nice satchel and project an air of mystery. makes my day way better to see you doing your thing with your satchel, whatever it is.

-FLOWERS. see: glitter.

second most of those, and also:

– hats. especially beanies and flat caps. honestly boys in flat caps look so nice it should be illegal

– well fitted suits. damn.
– bonus if either there’s a neat tie (preferably thin) OR the collar’s a bit disheveled, like “oh it’s a little hot in here isn’t it” WELL NOW IT IS
– extra bonus if the suit is three piece
– super extra bonus if you have some kind of flowers in the boutonnière

– sleepy morning voices

– when they cuddle a puppy or a cat and shower them in love. like damn. i wish i could swap places with that cat

– listen, i’m such a sucker for buns. both on girls and boys, but it’s rarer on boys and therefore i appreciate it much more
– bonus if it’s messy and some strands are framing their face

– TATTOO SLEEVES

– flower crowns on boys is my ultimate aesthetic

– rolled up sleeves is a classic that will never go out of style

– hoodies that are slightly too big, with that one huge pocket you can stick your hands into. makes me want to stick my hands there too (definitely just cause it’s cold. ya know, gotta keep it cool and casual and not at all like i want to hold your hand)

– jewelry. especially wooden necklaces. don’t ask me why, i have a thing for wooden necklaces. they emphasise the collarbones nicely. u know kurt hugo schneider? that’s precisely what i mean

– CURLY HAIR CURLY HAIR A CUTE MOP OF CURLY HAIR

– sweaters and jackets of all kinds. i mean varsity, or cardigan, or classic jumpers – i don’t care. super extra bonus points if it smells like a campfire, musk, rain or coffee. what i mean is that i’ve never met a good-smelling boy in a sweater that i didn’t want to cuddle

– v-necks

– beards are good, but you know what is also good? just a slight shadow of a beard. idk how to properly call it in english, but you know what i mean, right? the kind of facial hair lin-manuel miranda or daveed diggs are rocking

– undercuts that lead to subtle mohawks. i mean shaved sides and longish centre, enough to even form a slight fringe. i dig that shit.

girls fighting evil: wendy darling

any happy little thought?

(wendy’s kindness does not make her weak. it makes her strong, gives her bravery, gives her the love the lost boys so desperately need. she doesn’t mind when they call her mother. after all, the most vicious animal in nature is a mother bear.

and when hook comes around, her power is thinking enough happy thoughts to fly them all to safety. her claws lay in optimism, her fangs in kindness.)
