the thing i love about t’challa wasn’t just that he took killmonger to see the sunset, it was that he was in tears as he listened to killmonger’s story – that he was arguing that killmonger wouldn’t exist if t’chaka had simply shown compassion, that he understood the black panthers of the past had maybe been wrong. you can feel his empathy for people, and why it makes him the black panther whose story is being told; the most special thing about him isn’t his powers, or his suit, because there were black panthers generations before him. his fighting skill isn’t revolutionary – he gets beaten. the thing that made him special was that he has a big heart. t’challa is a good person. genuinely, a great one.

honestly if there’s anything that reminds me of erskine’s “not a perfect soldier but a good man” line it’s t’challa he’s not a perfect king or fighter or soldier but he is a good man and that is what matters in the end

trans-mom:

There is no actual, tangible reason why we allow people to starve, to be homeless, to suffer and die needlessly. Food is plentiful. Empty homes are plentiful. Medicine is plentiful. It’s hidden away behind constructs and we pretend those constructs mean something. There is an empty home and a homeless family, give them it. There is a sick child and common medicine to treat it, give it to them. There is a starving person and so much food wasted by corporations or hidden behind a dollar sign, feed them.

i can’t believe saying this is considered controversial

Tony Stark and ADHD

itsallavengers:

So while researching about the disorder, I started seeing quite a few correlations between A Certain Fave™ of mine and the symptoms that were shown on some of the websites I visited. For Example:

  • Coffee/ caffeine works to actually help calm down and regulate the mood, helping focus and productivity
  • Two settings- hyperfixation or complete lack of focus. A person with ADHD can completely lose themselves to a task they are engaged in/ worried about, forgetting to eat, sleep or generally perform basic human functions until it is completed. And then, on the other end of the spectrum- they will also find it difficult to focus AT ALL on things they are not interested in, choosing instead to zone out and lose concentration very easily.
  • Constant fidgeting, with anything and everything.
  • Conversations moving faster than anyone else can keep up with, hopping from point A to Z in the space of 0.3 seconds
  • Forgetfulness and general memory imbalances. Either perfect or not there at all.
  • Reckless behaviour and lack of sense of danger.
  • Can also manifest itself in forms of anxiety
  • Difficulty with socialising- often talking very loudly and jumping in or interrupting because they lack impulse control

And listen. Listen, okay- we know canononically that these are all Very Much Tony Stark Things;  hyperfocusing on some tasks and then completely losing interest in others, reckless and impulsive behaviours and using coffee as a tool to focus or help productivity are just some of the FEW common examples. So, y’know, I’m headcanoning this.

Tony Stark has ADHD.

no offence but let yourself be ugly!! you don’t have to fix your hair if you’re not going anywhere you don’t have to cover up ur spots or change out of your lounge pants to go buy milk like damn we really gotta let ourselves be comfortable without constantly apologising for just looking normal and it’s hard but i think we need to practice looking in the mirror and saying i look ugly af today and that’s okay!! tru self care is letting urself be ugly tbh

I love this version of self-love because it’s much more feasible for people who are self-conscious. Like it takes years of powerful reconditioning to convince yourself that your flaws, like stretch marks or acne or cellulitis, are attractive. It’s basically impossible for most people.

But learning to say “so what, I’m ugly, there’s more to life” not only overwrites this narrative that we have to feel attractive in some way (which is bs) but also reroutes your actual attention to just, living, instead of examining, evaluating, and judging your appearance
